Dealing with Difficult People

Learning to Respond versus React | Topic-Conflict Management

This program is designed to recognize the seven most common behaviors we encounter and develop a response to them. A response we can feel good about and one that de-escalates the conversation.

Participants will learn the identifying behaviors of the seven challenging behaviors we encounter and will learn several different responses to each one. The objective is to re-direct the conversation to the issue at hand without getting tripped up with difficult behaviors.

To equip participants with skills to respond appropriately when interacting with “difficult people”

Program Objectives
After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Engage in Open, Honest Timely, Two Way communication
  • Identify the most effective techniques to use when interacting with one of seven difficult styles
  • Effectively minimize the tension when engaging with a difficult person
