Notice:  Effective immediately, all TEA Instructor-led courses through 4/12/20 have been postponed.  At this time the remaining April programs are limited to 10 persons and comply with seated social distancing guidelines of 6 feet. In addition, our training facility surfaces and hardware will be regularly disinfected daily to help ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for everyone.

This half-day program, formerly known as Situational II® Concepts, provides leaders with a model to help diagnose the needs of an individual or a team and then use the appropriate leadership style to respond to the needs of the person, team, and the situation.

Participants learn about the three skills of a Situational Leader (Goal Setting, Diagnosing, and Matching), and reinforce their learning with a video case study and videos on SMART goals and other skills. The program incorporates the SLII Leader Behavior Analysis II® (LBAII) to help each participant understand their personal leadership style and set goals to become more effective in choosing the most appropriate leadership style for the situation.

  • Correctly diagnosing an employee’s development level
  • Selecting appropriate leadership style behaviors
  • Delegating, supporting, coaching and directing
  • Increasing leadership style flexibility
  • Avoiding over-supervision and under-supervision
  • Goal setting
