In this seminar, we will discuss assertive communication - what it is, what it’s not, why it’s important, and techniques for communicating assertively. Expect to improve your relationships and expand your ability to influence and gain commitment from co-workers and superiors. This program is required for the Conflict Management Skills Certificate.

To help participants understand the importance of communicating assertively to achieve better results and a higher level of confidence when interacting with others.

Course Objectives
After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand what assertive communication is – and what it is not.
  • Learn the difference between passive, assertive, and aggressive communication styles and how they impact relationships and personal reputation.
  • Describe the importance of communicating assertively, and learn various techniques for communicating assertively.
  • Improve relationships and expand the ability to influence and gain commitment from co-workers and management.
